About Us

The Stripfoil process has been developed over the last 10 years to address the concerns of the Pharmaceutical Industry that existing deblister systems were achieving limited efficiency, principally due to the risk of damage to the product and contamination of the collected material by pack detritus.

The other criteria which were factored into the specification were production speed and the need to avoid expensive format-specific tooling. Whilst the Pharmaceutical packing sector tends to be less concerned with changeover time, this is not the case in the Pharmacy packaging area where many different formats must be deblistered in succession to provide product for the large number of cassettes contained within sophisticated dispensing machines.

Pharma Engineering completed the development and commercialisation of the process up to 2007, when the first machine was installed by Napp Pharmaceuticals at their Cambridge, UK plant. Other installations have taken place in 2008.

The company’s founding directors have invested in the business and have been well supported by Oxford Technology 4 VCT plc.

The company is based in west London, where the process can be demonstrated by appointment.
